Benefits of True Martial Arts Training:

As is believed by all students of Martial Arts, there is much benefit to be gained from it. The various systems were developed most likely to give form and disciple to fighting. Through scholarly study and rigorous self training, Students excelled in the art of fighting. Weapons became incorporated into the styles also. Although many schools of Martial Arts try to stay traditional, the real point is that Martial Arts was not made for show or not only as a hobby, but it was practical. The Martial Arts is not a game, it is physical training for the body to rise above their previous limits and surpass others in the art of fighting. There is no doubt that dedicated students of Martial Arts enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with that, however it is not only for fun. The Martial Arts aren't for everyone, only those who are willing to put in time, pain, and effort in its way. To be honest, not everyone is good at martial arts. Usually if you are not good at one martial art, you should pursue another. For example, I can't imagine myself being in Taekwondo, but my body is made for Ninjitsu. Different styles suit different people. Some styles are more rigid, organized, standardized, and laid out, while other styles force the student to improvise, use what is unique in their skill, incorporate from different styles, and even force you to study by yourself. The road to being a Martial Artist is not easy, however the benefits far outweigh the down side. Well, some downsides about the Martial Arts. In this age, you cannot fight off people with your fists along, but you must also have mastery of long-range and short-range guns. Continuing with the Martial Art tradition of incorporating modern fighting styles, some styles even force you to cope with your opponent having a gun. You can't really jump kick him in the face, it will be suicide. You will have to either deceive him into lowering his guard, or use psychology to persuade him to lower his guard. The fact of the matter is though, a true Martial Artist can cope with a situation like this easier than a average person. He will find an opening and exploit his opponents weak spot. Many people argue that the Martial Arts are not practical, they say that wrestling and boxing is more practical. I say to them, "Do you know what the Martial Arts really are?" They say stuff like, "Yeah, self defense like high kicking and punching." Poor innocent fools. The Martial Arts is not only a system of self defense, but also a medium of great offensive power. People try to avoid that part of the Arts, but the fact is that it is a deadly fighting tool. A true Martial Artists will take hits like boxers, but will not exclude attacks only to his upper body. Basically it is more intelligent to dodge your block a attack than to take it. If you really know about Martial Arts, you know that it also includes ground submission techniques. However the most common and useful technique is a lock, or pressure point. Basically Martial Artists are intelligent fighters that use every fighting skill to gain an advantage over their opponent. Personally speaking, Ninjitsu is the most extreme of these styles, because you will use any weapon, any strike, or anything to achieve ultimate success over your enemy (death).
